This year, the North American teams have not gone very far in the World Championship and it may be that 2021 will be different with the changes ahead.

Although the most unexpected changes were made in Europe, the North Americans also presented us with surprises.

Here you can see the main changes in the LCS teams:

100 Thieves

The team began by announcing that ADC Cody Sun had decided to step aside. A few days later they announced the new ADC Ian Victor “FBI” Huang and jungler Can “Closer” Çelik.

A new Mid Laner and Support, “Damonte” and “Huhi” were added to the team.

The latest addition to the 100 Thieves was the acquisition of Aleš “Freeze” Kněžínek as an assistant coach.

CLG

CLG performed poorly at the 2020 LCS Summer Split, finishing in 9th place. With that, the main and secondary coach, Kim “SSONG” Sang-soo and Weldon Green, decided to leave.

In the following days, the team lost top laner Kim “Ruin” Hyeong-min and ADC Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes.

In order to fill the empty positions, CLG acquired the top laner Finn “Finn” Wiestål of the Rogue team and jungler Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen.
